Pokebonk v0.8.76 Checkpoint: Archive Rules and Older Guides
A dated Pokebonk v0.8.76 check: Archive capacity, recent official announcements, and which older guide numbers need care before you spend Stardust.
FAQ
Did v0.8.76 introduce the Archive change?
How many Archive slots do I get with level 3 and 21 unlocks?
Does an old version badge make every part of a guide wrong?
Pokebonk (officially styled PokéBonk) updates faster than a screenshot can stay current. At 23:05 PDT on October 28, 2026 (06:05 UTC on October 29), its official version file reported v0.8.76, build mvsqtoo8. Here is what that check tells us about recent changes, and how to use guides written against earlier builds.

Which recent changes have an official announcement?
These are announcement claims, paraphrased from the official news feed . Dates below are UTC publication dates; pinned order is not chronological order.
| Notice | What the developer announced | What a returning player should check |
|---|---|---|
| October 21 · #15 | Season 2 raised the clan limit to 200 and added weekly missions and rivalry. | Look at the current clan screen before relying on an older member limit. |
| October 23 · #16 | Wardrobe and favorites arrived; co-op was described as a gradual invitation rollout. | Check your in-game mailbox; that announcement alone does not prove universal access today. |
| October 25 · #18 | Archive capacity expanded from v0.8.55; pause-screen move details gained a breakdown of level-up contributions. | Recheck your Archive counter and compare the pause breakdown with your planned upgrades. |
The version manifest identifies the current build; an announcement explains a dated change. Neither gives us grounds to invent a feature list for versions 0.8.56–0.8.76. We also do not treat the absence of a new notice as proof that no bug fixes shipped.
How does the Archive rule work in this client?
The public shared definitions still define six Archive levels and five base slots per level. Once you own at least level one, the bonus is half the number of owned items that belong to the client’s unlock catalog, rounded down. That catalog has 59 entries in this capture.
Capacity = 5 × Archive level + floor(eligible unlocks ÷ 2), with the unlock bonus disabled at level zero.
| Archive level | Eligible unlocks | Capacity from the checked definition |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | 12 | 0 — the bonus is still locked |
| 1 | 12 | 11 — 5 base + 6 bonus |
| 3 | 21 | 25 — 15 base + 10 bonus |
| 6 | 59 | 59 — 30 base + 29 bonus |
These are arithmetic examples, not measurements of a live account. The unlock count is not your total item collection, carried items or run pickups. The game client uses this capacity when deciding whether another item can be archived. We did not test the server’s response to an Archive request.
For a spending decision, open Lab → Upgrades and Lab → Items on the official site and compare your own counter. The examples explain the calculation; they are not a recommendation to buy every unlock. We have not measured how any particular Archive selection affects drop rates or run performance.
What does this mean for the guides already on this site?
We checked the published pages alongside their source files. They contain a mixture of historical observations and newer section-level checks. Here is how to read that mixture without assuming that every number applies to the latest build.
| Existing page | What its evidence currently covers | How to use it now |
|---|---|---|
| Lab guide | The Training table and item-pool images are v0.7.2 observations. The fourth-slot and fourth-option section was checked separately against v0.8.55 code. | Check the current Lab before spending. This post verifies Archive capacity only; it does not refresh every price or Training value. |
| Items guide | Its photographed item cards are a historical v0.7.2 sample. | Use the cards to understand the presentation; compare your current item description before building around a number. |
| Season 2 guide | It preserves the original announcement, including forward-looking co-op wording. | Pair it with the dated rollout notice above; do not read an old launch forecast as an account-access guarantee. |
| Major updates | At this check, its recorded version was still v0.8.13. | It remains a historical overview. Use the official version file for the live build; this article does not certify that overview as current. |
A newer version number does not invalidate every sentence of an older guide. It does change how much confidence you should place in a precise price, cap or unlock condition. Our verification policy explains the distinction between announcements, code checks and real play observations.
What should I check before my next run?
- Read the version shown by your game. If it differs from this checkpoint, the numbers here are a dated reference.
- Read the evidence note for the specific section you need. A recent page date does not mean every old screenshot was taken again.
- Compare purchases with your own menu. If a price or capacity differs, pause the purchase and report the page, displayed game version and discrepancy through our site feedback.
You can open the official game from our Play help page . For move choices, the level-up guide explains why move capacity and the number of offered cards are separate concepts. Neither link implies we tested a new account or a full run for this post.
What did we verify, and where is the evidence?
Checked October 28, 2026, Pacific time: HTTP reads of the version file and news feed, the official HTML-to-client import chain, the Archive definition and its use in the game client, and the existing guide text. Downloaded game code was read as text, not executed. The table calculations use the published formula on example inputs.
The public checkpoint receipt records source URLs, retrieval times, SHA-256 fingerprints and the specific findings. It also records the limits: no real-game purchase, Archive action, performance benchmark, save migration, co-op access test or new balance ranking. If a later build changes these rules, this post remains an October 28 checkpoint rather than silently becoming a claim about that later build.
