FAQ

Where is the Glossary in PokéBonk?
Pause the game, open the Pokédex, and choose the Glossary tab. It has five pages: Stats, Statuses, Reactions, Attack shapes, and Damage and types. These screenshots show each one.
Is the PokéBonk Glossary available in my language?
The in-game language selector offers nine languages: English, Español, Português, Français, 日本語, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 한국어 and Русский. The Glossary text is translated in each.
Do the Glossary numbers match my move cards?
The Glossary explains the game's rules and base values. Your move's live card shows that move's actual damage with your current build, which can differ.

The surest source for how PokéBonk works is the game’s own Glossary: Pause → Pokédex → Glossary. It has five pages explaining every stat, status, reaction, attack shape and type rule. Below is each page, captured in v0.7.7. For the transcribed numbers and formulas in a readable table, see our Mechanics & Glossary guide .

What are the five Glossary pages?

Tab What it covers
Stats Armor, attack speed, crit, status chance, luck, move level, vitamins
Statuses Burned, Poisoned, Frozen, Paralyzed and the rest, with durations
Reactions Status-triggered elemental reactions and their multipliers
Attack shapes How each move hits — projectile, burst, bolt, cone and more
Damage and types Type effectiveness, STAB, criticals, weather, Support Alphas

What do the core stats do?

PokéBonk Glossary — Stats tab: armor, attack speed, crit chance and damage, status chance, luck, move level and vitamins

Armor uses diminishing returns (armor ÷ (armor + 45)), crit starts at ×1.75, and crit/status chance cap at 100%. Full numbers: Mechanics .

What do the status effects do?

PokéBonk Glossary — Statuses tab: Burned, Poisoned, Paralyzed, Frozen, Asleep, Confused, Wet, Cursed, Heal Block, Charmed, Rooted, Stunned and Knockback with their effects

Each status is usually applied by one move type and lasts a few seconds — for example Burned deals 30% of the triggering hit over 3 s.

What are the elemental reactions?

PokéBonk Glossary — Reactions tab: Electrocuted, Steam, Inferno, Wreckage, Poison Gas, Nightmare, Psychic Meltdown and Dragon Rage with their triggers and multipliers

A reaction fires when you hit an enemy that already has the right status. Wreckage (Frozen hit by Fighting, Rock or Steel) is the biggest at ×2.6.

What are the attack shapes?

PokéBonk Glossary — Attack shapes tab: projectile, explosive orb, bomb, burst, homing, boomerang, drain, bolt, cone, wave and more

A move’s shape decides how it hits, which often matters more than its raw damage number — a piercing Bolt or multi-hit Burst can out-damage a bigger single hit.

How does type damage work?

PokéBonk Glossary — Damage and types tab: type effectiveness, STAB, critical hits, weather effects, move levels, vitamins and Support Alphas

Super effective is ×2, resisted ×0.5, immune ×0. Same-type moves (STAB) deal +25% (or +56% with Adaptability), and weather boosts some types by 30%.

Is the Glossary available in other languages?

Yes. The in-game language selector lists nine locales, and the Glossary text is translated in each:

English · Español · Português · Français · 日本語 · 简体中文 · 繁體中文 · 한국어 · Русский
