FAQ

When does PokéBonk Season 2 start?
Season 2 starts on Wednesday, 2026-10-21 at 18:30 CEST — that is 09:30 PDT or 16:30 UTC. Season 1 ends the day before, 2026-10-20 at 17:00 PDT. New ladder rankings begin when Season 2 opens and everyone starts at once.
What is new in PokéBonk Season 2?
Two new maps (Storm Coast and Celestial Glacier), 14 new bosses with their own mechanics, move fusions, mega-crits, 5 new vitamins (26 total), 24 new items, 3 new altars, 41 new achievements, and the first season event, Lavender Tower Night.
Is there Mega Evolution or co-op in Season 2?
Season 2 adds mega-crits (crit chance over 100% becomes a mega-crit, up to 200%). Co-op (cooperative play) is confirmed to launch shortly after Season 2 starts, not at launch.
Will the game change during Season 2?
No. Once the season starts, gameplay, mechanics and the economy are locked. Only bug fixes and quality-of-life changes ship mid-season, as the developer promised.

This page summarises the official PokéBonk Season 2 announcement (in-game news, 2026-10-18). Watch the Season 2 trailer . For what’s live right now, see News & Patch Notes .

When does Season 2 start?

  • Season 1 (the BETA season) ends 2026-10-20 at 17:00 PDT.
  • Season 2 starts 2026-10-21 at 18:30 CEST — that is 09:30 PDT / 16:30 UTC. New ladder rankings begin then and everyone starts at the same time.
  • Between seasons you can keep playing, but matches don’t count toward ladder points.

What is new in Season 2?

Season 2 is the game’s biggest update so far. From the official announcement:

New in Season 2 Detail
Storm Coast A sea map of coves, islets and beaches, unlocked by completing Rocky Desert. The tide floods the beaches every ~90 s and leaves pearls; a waterspout can sweep you across the map
Celestial Glacier A second new map themed around water and ice
14 new bosses Each with its own mechanic (e.g. Kingler, Electrode, Gyarados, Tentacruel, Starmie, Electabuzz on Storm Coast)
Move fusions Moves can now fuse into new combined effects
Mega-crits Crit chance above 100% is no longer wasted — it becomes a mega-crit, up to 200%
5 new vitamins 26 vitamins total
24 new items Fresh unlocks and build options
3 new altars More in-run choices
41 new achievements New goals to chase
Lab updates Changes to Lab upgrades
Fairer bosses Boss tuning and more Stardust

What is the Lavender Tower Night event?

Season 2’s first season event is Lavender Tower Night, set in Lavender Town:

  • 7 handmade floors — Lobby, Hall of Gravestones, Hall of Mist, Snuffed Candles and more.
  • Three waves per floor, with the floor boss on the third wave.

It’s a limited, hand-designed run unlike the usual procedural maps — a reason to jump in early in Season 2.

For the event end time, rewards and current menu card, see the Lavender Tower Night event guide .

What are the Season 2 rules?

The developer committed to a stable season so the ladder stays fair:

  • Once the season starts, gameplay, mechanics and the economy are locked.
  • Mid-season, only bug fixes and quality-of-life changes ship — no balance churn.
  • Development time otherwise goes to fixing bugs, QoL, and preparing the next season.

When is co-op coming?

Co-op (cooperative play) launches shortly after Season 2 starts, not at the season launch. The developer said more details are coming soon. We’ll build a dedicated co-op guide the moment it’s playable.

How should I prepare for Season 2?

  • Finish any Season 1 goals before 2026-10-20 17:00 PDT — ladder standing resets.
  • Learn the current bosses and mechanics so move fusions and mega-crits click faster.
  • Unlock Rocky Desert so Storm Coast opens for you on day one.

When does Season 2 end?

Season 2 and the Lavender Tower Night event end on November 4, 2026 at 17:30 UTC (9:30 AM PST), according to the official status feed checked on 2026-10-29. Season 3 (Version 0.9) with Gen 2 launches the same day; see the Pokebonk Season 3 guide for what has been announced.
