FAQ

Why is there no playable game on the Pokebonk wiki Play page?
The wiki Play page links to pokebonk.com in a new tab; it does not embed a playable game. Use its official-site button, then check loading and controls in that game tab.
Will reloading or clearing my browser data fix missing PokéBonk progress?
Do not clear site data or reset the profile first. Return with the same Guest or account identity and check the game’s run history or recovery message before taking a destructive step.

Where should I start troubleshooting?

The wiki’s Play page opens the official game in a new tab. Troubleshoot the game at pokebonk.com, rather than waiting for a game frame to appear on this wiki.

What if the official game is blank or keeps loading?

  1. Open the official Pokebonk game from the wiki’s Play page and switch to that new tab. The link card itself is not a loading game.
  2. Check that JavaScript is enabled and the browser supports WebGL. The official page lists both as requirements. This is a prerequisite check, not a confirmed fix for every black screen.
  3. If the new tab does not appear, check the browser’s tab list or blocked-window notice, then use the official link directly. Keep the existing game tab if a run is active.
  4. Read any error message, game notice and version before retrying. If trying another browser or network, use it to compare loading only; do not assume a Guest identity or save will follow you there.

Avoid repeated reloads of an active run. These checks do not diagnose a server outage or verify a device-specific fix.

What if keyboard or touch controls do not work?

  • For keyboard input, switch to the official game tab and click or tap its game area to restore focus. Typing or using navigation in the wiki tab does not control the game.
  • On a phone, open the game’s own Controls settings and select the input mode that matches your device. Rotate to landscape if the play area feels cramped.
  • Use the current in-game help for key bindings; they can be remapped and may differ from older guides. See the Pokebonk controls and key-binding reference for the dated code check and its device-test limits.

What if a run or result seems missing?

Return using the same Guest identity or account, then check any run-history or recovery information the game offers. Do not clear browser storage, delete the profile or create a replacement account as the first step. Record the visible message and version before changing anything.

What should I record before reporting a problem?

Note the device and browser, game version, the exact game URL, whether it was opened from the wiki or directly, and the action immediately before the issue. Never include a password or private token.

What was verified, and what remains untested?

On 2026-10-26 (UTC), we checked the live wiki Play page and its official-game link, plus the official page and public version file . The official file reported v0.8.55 (build mvob1c8t); the page’s fallback text requires JavaScript and WebGL. This is a dated launch-path and requirements check, not a playtest of the whole version.

Focus, orientation and browser/network comparisons above are general diagnostic steps. We did not reproduce a black screen, test a physical phone or controller, interrupt a run, clear storage, or verify account recovery. Read the current game’s own notices before acting. The share image is an older v0.7.2 Keys screen, not a new settings capture.
